About this Practice This practice was started in Chester in 2013, although the Principal has had many years prior experience in practice on his own account.
The Principal is Rod Emberton, a Chartered Member of the Royal Institute of British Architects. The practice follows the RIBA Code of Conduct when giving professional and independant advice and service to clients.
The background of the practice is mainly in traditional construction contracts and Rod has administered over 100 projects on site through to completion. This means that the practice is strong in specification writing and technical drawing, and we write specifications not just for our own projects but regularly provide this as a special service to other architects.
We enjoy conservation work as well as work with contemporary buildings.
Rod Emberton Rod is a graduate from Cardiff with a B.SC in Architectural Science.
He later obtained his Diploma in Architecture at Hull.
His practical training for qualification as an architect was at Levitt Berstein Associates in London.
Royal Institute of British Architects (Chartered Member)
Royal Incorporation of Architects in Scotland.
Ecclesiastical Surveyors and Architects Association
He is listed by the Diocese of Chester as an approved architect to inspect and work upon churches in the Diocese.
In the past Rod has worked as an employee of some of the leading architects practices in the UK, especially in conservation work.
He is also very interested in the history of the development of modern architecture. This is partly because he is a relative of the late Joseph Emberton, a pioneer of modernism in England, and is the curator of a website about Joseph Emberton and his work, and this is the link.
